What is your favorite race? Pride Run…POPSICLES!
What PR are you most proud of? Rock 'n' Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, 9/15/2013, 1:40:25…Did my first proper training plan and set a five min PR!
What's the most rewarding drink after a hard race? Iced coffee…then a beer!
What are your other hobbies besides running?
- Trip planning…In general, complex spreadsheets – think routes, gear lists, logistics – make me pretty happy. Recent trips have focused on combining my spreadsheet and running interests. I am happy to provide anyone on the team with a game plan to cover 145 miles of trails on New Zealand’s South Island or do a multi-day trip in the Dolomites. The latest spreadsheet has me set to “run” the Tour du Mont Blanc in August.
- Sailing…Many of you know that I am a PROUD Mainer! I grew up exploring the Penobscot Bay archipelago on my family sailboat. I am also pretty sure that spending a few weeks each summer living on a 27 foot boat helped to foster my current tiny house obsession.
- Talking about getting a puppy…
What's your favorite Harrier moment? SHAT… I am just back from Colorado and waiting to feel awesome running at sea-level. The weekend of training and fun planned by Joe and Toko was AWESOME.
Closing comment? This is your soapbox moment! As a two time winner of the chattiest Harrier award, I am annoyed that I am struggling to find words for my “soapbox” moment. Extra thanks to the coaching staff and my teammates, I know that would not be the happy runner that I am today without the support of this group.
