Join for any of our weekly workouts, schedule listed below.

Weekly workouts are part of our detailed team training plan, organized and executed under the direction of our RRCA certified coaches. The training and workouts target the Harriers' team racing schedule, with particular emphasis on providing structured coaching for beginner to national class caliber runners. SPEED WORK

Wednesday 6:30 AM Engineers’ Gate | Wednesday 7:00 PM Tavern on the Green*

High-intensity interval training. Specific intervals are run hard, and each is followed by a short rest period before the next. Intervals are usually between 200 meters to 1 mile depending on the training cycle.

*Wednesday evening speed meets at 7PM at the East River Track between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

 

TEMPO RUNS

Friday 6:30 AM Engineers’ Gate

Specified intervals or a mid-distance run (4 to 10 miles depending on training cycle) at a steady pace that is 85% to 90% of your maximum aerobic capacity.



 

LONG RUNS

Sunday 9:00 AM Tavern on the Green

Longer distance run between 7 to 20 miles depending on training cycle at a medium to slow (aerobic) pace. Shorter distance routes are also provided. Split into pace groups, typically from 7:30 to 10:00/mile. Often, long runs end at fun destinations like local coffee shops, donut pubs, and breweries.

Routes are likely to change week to week.
